PDP National Caretaker committee accuses APC of using Alimodu Sheriff to destabilize their party

Members of the PDP Caretaker committee met
at the party secretariat in Abuja today June 14th,
to discuss what it described as the invasion of
the party secretariat by its factional chairman,
Alimodu Sheriff yesterday June 14th.

Addressing a press conference at the party
secretariat this afternoon, one of the PDP
Chieftains, Prince Dayo Adeyeye accused the
APC of working with Sheriff to cause confusion
in the party...
"Sheriff and his cohorts are being used by
enemies of the party to destroy the party and to
prevent it from re-organizing itself so as to
provide a credible opposition and alternative
platform for the forthcoming Edo governorship
election and 2019 elections.
The All Progressives Congress has contracted
Sheriff and his cohorts to scuffle the chances of
the PDP in the Edo governorship elections. We
have credible intelligence that Sheriff had a
meeting on Sunday night with an APC governor
in the NorthWest where it was agreed that he
will b given full security and financial support to
facilitate the crisis in the PDP" - he said
