Arsenal step up chase for Alexandre Lacazette
Arsenal remain interested in signing Alexandre Lacazette and will make an improved offer for the Lyon forward.
Manager Arsene Wenger is keen to strengthen his squad ahead of the new season, but saw a bid in the region of 39.6million dollars for Lacazette rejected by the French Ligue 1 club last week.
Lyon value Lacazette at 52.8million dollars, and expect the striker to be at the club for the forthcoming season.
Leroy Sane is in Manchester as he looks to join Pep Guardiola’s revolution at Manchester City.
City are on the verge of landing the Schalke forward, who they have tracked all summer, after protracted negotiations with the Bundesliga side.
It is believed Sane will cost City an initial 41 million dollars.
City’s owners are also confident they can wrap up a deal for Everton defender John Stones this week for a fee in the region of 66 million dollars.
Guardiola confirmed recently that discussions with Everton were ongoing and City are now hopeful a deal is nearing completion.
