Future Has Earned 7 RIAA Plaques This Month

After obtaining and maintaining the secrecy of the Drake vocals, Juan — a co-producer of Khaled’s — has been entrusted with the same duty for his boss’ new record with Nicki. Earlier tonight, Khaled posted a pic of himself and Nicki on Instagram and wrote, “AYO JUAN! Turn @nickiminaj vocals up!”
The revelation of a Nicki appearance on Grateful shouldn’t be too surprising, as she’s appeared on many Khaled-hosted records, including 2016’s platinum-certified “Do You Mind.”
Other stars suspected to appear on Grateful include Rick Ross, Future, and Chance The Rapper. From gold to triple platinum, Future was awarded a total of 7 RIAA plaques in April.
“Um going platinum everyday,” Future tweeted last week. It ain’t far from the truth. Search for Future on the RIAA database, and you’ll see that he’s been awarded a remarkable 7 plaques during this month alone.
As reported, a platinum certification has been given to “Mask Off,” a single taken from the self-titled album Future released on February 17 — a week before he’d release yet another album, HNDRXX. “Mask Off,” produced by Metro Boomin, is currently the No. 7 song in the country.
The Drake-featuring “Used to This,” the non-album single Future shared in November, has also gone platinum.
You may be surprised to find that Future’s biggest-ever single (as a lead artist) is “Low Life,” which was recently certified triple platinum. The song features The Weeknd and was included on Future’s fourth album, EVOL, released in February 2016.
A double-platinum certification has been given to “Fuck Up Some Commas,” the song that landed on the 2014 mixtape Monster and also as a bonus track on Future’s fourth album, 2015’s DS2. Also off DS2, the song “Blow a Bag” has been certified gold.
Lastly, two more golden plaques have been given to Future’s first two albums, 2012’s Pluto and 2014’s Honest.
